Stornoway B&B Sells for its Asking Price

A Bed & Breakfast – which is ranked #3 of 21 B&Bs in Stornoway on TripAdvisor – has been sold for its asking price by Bruce & Co.

Located in Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis, Jannel Bed & Breakfast also has a four star rating from VisitScotland and was the first B&B in the Outer Hebrides to win a green tourism award.

The Bed & Breakfast trades throughout the year and provides four excellently presented en-suite letting bedrooms. Many of its guests are tourists, business trippers and college students who all tend to stay in the business for the full week, generating a good level of income. Owners’ accommodation with three double bedrooms was also included in the sale. There is potential for the new owners to use some of these rooms as letting rooms and further expand the business.

Jannel B&B sold for its asking price in less than six months of being on the market with Bruce & Co. The buyer, Mr. Ramsey, had previously run a Guest House in Bath and has re-located to Scotland.

Bruce & Co’s Jayne Adamson, who handled the sale, commented: “We are delighted to have concluded this asking price deal on such a fabulous business. The B&B has much scope for development and we are looking forward to seeing what its future holds.”
