Popular Costcutter Sells in Fraserburgh

Bruce & Co. are delighted to announce the sale of Sandhaven Costcutter; a popular branded store and Post Office, located in Sadhaven – a small village on the outskirts of Fraserburgh, Aberdeenshire.

Sandhaven Costcutter is an extremely well run business that has been run by the vendor Mr Mair since 2002. The business trades successfully throughout the year and offers an excellent range of general groceries, along with local post office services. Some of the things they offer are large selection of general grocery produce, frozen foods, chilled goods, and tobacco products. The business also offers an excellent range of confectionery, soft drinks, newspapers and a good selection of wines and spirits. In addition, the business also has a license to sell bottled LPG. The business further benefits from having a National Lottery terminal, scratch cards, Paypoint and the Health Lotto.

Over the years, the business has built up an excellent reputation, and thereby enjoys much repeat custom. This is also partly due to the shop being the only one in the village.
The business sits prominently on the main street, with ample free on street parking surrounding the property. Comprising a terraced lock up unit, the main entrance is from the front, which in turn leads to the main shop floor area. The sales floor is well presented with a good combination of island shelve units and wall mounted displays. The post office counter is located in a secure position to the rear of the shop; making it both accessible and convenient.

As expected with a property the size and style of Sandhaven Costcutter, there are ample service areas, including a large storage area to the rear of the shop, along with a manager’s office, 2 external outbuildings and garage. The business also benefits from having CCTV and a full EPOS system.

Following three viewings and one offer, the business was sold to Mr Gogineni on a leasehold basis for £43,000. Mr Gogineni’s background is in retail, and therefore this will undoubtedly benefit his new business purchase. Mr Goegineni commented “The sale went very well, and encountered no problems!”

The vendor, Mr Mair, stated “Bruce & Co. have done well, and I’m impressed with their service.”
