Bruce & Co. are delighted to announce the sale of the former ‘Distillery Guest House’ located in Fort William, Highland.
The quality of the guest house is reflected in the number of awards it has been awarded, such as achieving a 4* rating from Visit Scotland, and achieving a 4* rating from the AA. The guest house benefits from its location at the foot of Ben Nevis, and is popular amongst golfers, outdoor enthusiasts and visitors for business purposes.
Built in 1954, Distillery Guest House is a conversion of 3 former distillery workers’ cottages. The guest house has been extended and modernised over time, to incorporate 10 en-suite letting rooms.
Run by the vendor, Mrs Stewart, since 2007, the business was placed on the market due to her wish to retire. Although the guest house had been trading very successfully, there is potential for development, by converting the property into a small hotel, as an example. Mrs Stewart had planning permission in place to extend the property further.
The sale generated impressive levels of interest, and following 7 viewings, the guest house was sold to Mrs Song on a freehold basis.
Mrs Song commented: “I had a good relationship with my appointed contact, Jayne Adamson, and the sale went well.”
Jayne Adamson, Sales Manager at Bruce & Co. states: “It was an absolute delight to deal with both the purchaser and the vendor. I wish Mrs Stewart well with her other commitments, and would like to wish Mrs Song all the best with the future of her new business acquisition”
