Buyers’ Fourth Acquisition through Redwoods Dowling Kerr

Redwoods Dowling Kerr are delighted to announce the sale of Westhoughton Kids Club in Westhoughton, Greater Manchester.

The pre-school and after school club was acquired by Mr and Mrs Jones who are experienced buyers and who have completed on childcare business transactions with Redwoods Dowling Kerr in the past. The sale of the nursery generated strong levels of interest with 6 viewings, before being acquired by Mr and Mrs Jones. They cited the location, and the attractive business opportunity in itself as the main reasons why they wanted to acquire this business. This sale marks their fourth acquisition through Redwoods Dowling Kerr.

The vendor, Mrs Cath Podmore, decided to bring the business to the market due to wanting a change in lifestyle. Referencing the service received at Redwoods Dowling Kerr, Mrs Podmore comments: “To expand, I have recently sold my childcare setting to a buyer found by Sarah. Once the sale process began, I was kept in regular contact, information was freely communicated and explanations given.

“Sarah also recommended a competent and excellent solicitor, relevant professionals to carry out tests and many other worthy contacts that were needed along the way.

“I also contacted Sarah when I needed to ask questions, seek advice or simply get reassurance. She kept me aware of the process and led me through what was a completely alien area for me.

“Now that my journey is over, I can say that Sarah and my team were vital to this sale going ahead and anyone selling a childcare setting should definitely seek RDK and ask for Sarah. I would highly recommend both RDK and Sarah Ellison”

Now that the sale has completed, Mrs Podmore is able to pursue other business interests and spend some quality time with her two sons.

Sarah Ellison, Senior Childcare Negotiator comments “It was a pleasure to work with both the buyer and the seller. Mr and Mrs Jones have an excellent reputation within the nursery/childcare sector, and we hope to continue working with them should they build on their portfolio. I wish Mrs Podmore all the best for the future”
