Redwoods Dowling Kerr is delighted to announce the sale of Playtime Play Centre, a popular childcare and activity centre in Accrington. This much-loved business has been purchased by passionate first-time buyer Ms Sargeson, who has exciting plans to build upon the centre with her own fresh ideas.
With a reputation that precedes itself as an excellent child activity and event site, Playtime Play Centre was swiftly snapped up with an offer being put forward after the first two viewings. The seller, Jacquie Lightfoot has put heart and soul into the play centre, making it a staple of the community and the favoured choice for many parents.
Jacquie was delighted to find someone who was as equally passionate as she was when she was introduced to Ms Sargeson. She is confident that Playtime play will continue to thrive under its new ownership.
The new owner, Ms Sargeson’s plans to expand and improve the centre have already begun to see an effective return, with positive responses from parents and the community. After the initial redecoration is complete, she plans to expand the centre’s available activities to include a reading and crafts corner. Allowing children to explore their creativity and develop skills whilst having fun, suggestions that have been met with praise from the local community.

For a start the building was lovely and warm, it has been re-decorated and everything just seemed cleaner and new! My children loved it, I could relax as I could see both playing whilst I sat with a cup of coffee. The staff were very friendly, we all had lunch which I thought was very reasonably priced. The children have already asked to go back. Definitely worth a visit.”
Playtime Play Centre has a bright future with the passion and enthusiasm of Ms Sargeson behind it, building on the legacy of the excellent service and entertainment provided by Mrs Lightfoot. With refurbished facilities, the centre has grown increasingly popular with its younger clientele. Parents have found the centre to be the perfect place to relax as their children play, with an onsite restaurant, store and snacks allowing for parents and care givers a chance to unwind as their children play. The activity centre is set to continue its success with more improvements planned in the future.
