A couple of first-time buyers are enjoying their new childcare venture after the sale of Curious Caterpillars in Cainscross, Gloucestershire.
Mr and Mrs Reynolds were delighted to acquire the popular children’s day nursery after successfully bidding with Redwoods Dowling Kerr.
The freehold nursery received a high-level of interest with seven viewings and four offers through the UK’s Number 1 childcare brokerage.
Having successfully operated in the town for 20 years, the vendor Mr Mike Ogden, is now looking to retire from the childcare sector.
He leaves in place an impressive and lucrative nursery with potential for growth.
Mr and Mrs Reynolds are now hoping to build on the success of the business and having a young family, they both share a passion for childcare.
Vendor Mr Mike Ogden said:
“It was a good decision to market my business through Redwoods Dowling Kerr because I found them to be professional, friendly and very knowledgeable about the sector from the very beginning.
“The service I received was great, especially from Sarah Ellison my main contact. To be expected, there were a lot of questions to answer and information to provide, but she led me through it every step of the way and I always felt she was on my side.
“I would definitely recommend Redwoods Dowling Kerr.”
Commenting on the transaction, sales negotiator, Sarah Ellison said:
“It was a pleasure helping Mr & Mrs Reynolds find their first nursery.
“It is a very big decision to come into the childcare sector from different careers but both are very passionate about childcare and this setting ticked all their boxes.
“Curious Caterpillar has been successfully run by Mr Ogden for many years so selling was a big decision. However, after meeting Simon and his wife, Mr Ogden knew they were the right buyers to take care of the staff and parents.
“I would like to wish Mike Ogden all the best in the future with his new business interests and every success to Mr & Mrs Reynolds with their new business opportunity.”
