Former American operator buys London nursery

Redwoods Dowling Kerr are pleased to announce the sale of Ark of Noah Bilingual Nursery in Greenford, London to a qualified Montessori teacher.

Naza Lakhani, who has operated childcare businesses in the USA, beat 4 other interested parties in a bid to acquire the London nursery. She is now looking forward to developing it under a fresh ethos.

The popular children’s day nursery received considerable interest with 11 viewings and 5 offers, 2 of which were above the initial asking price.

Operating from a spacious church hall, Ark of Noah Day Nursery enjoys an excellent reputation for the quality of childcare provided. In May 2017 the London nursery was recognized as ‘Good’ by Ofsted.

With capacity for 20 children aged 2 to 5-years-old, the setting also offers great potential for expansion.

Katie Shakerifar, the vendor, is now looking forward to retiring. She said:

“I would like to thank Ms Karrina Lee for her continued support and good advice in the process of selling our nursery.

“It is a testimony to her advice, support and continual telephone calls to all parties and their solicitors that brought the sale to conclusion after one year, as it has been a multifaceted sale.

“I would recommend her to handle any sale.”

Karrina Lee, sales negotiator at Redwoods Dowling Kerr, commented:

“Ark of Noah was a great opportunity for a first-time buyer.

“The vendor Katie choose to accept Nazma’s offer as she felt they both shared the same ethos and that Nazma was the best person to hand the reins.

“I wish Nazma every success for the future and I hope Katie has a relaxing retirement.”
