Redwoods Dowling Kerr are delighted to announce the sale of Project Portugal, a group of 8 children’s day nurseries based in South Gloucestershire and Bristol. The nurseries are run under two limited companies; Little Acorns (South West) Limited and 100 Acre Wood Limited.
The origins of the group began in 2004 when the vendors Mr & Mrs Woodman bought their first nursery. The Woodmans then went in to full partnership with Mr & Mrs Evans, who over the last 14 years have helped the business evolve from its humble beginnings, into a phenomenal and successful childcare group.
The group has the capacity to provide childcare for 487 children and has been consistently rated as “Good” by Ofsted across the board.
The successful bidders were Just Childcare Limited, who saw the group as the perfect acquisition to add to their ever-expanding group portfolio.
David Johnson, Chief Executive at Just Childcare commented:
“The eight nurseries we have acquired all have excellent reputations and share our belief that the children in our care should be at the centre of everything we do.
“We are thrilled to have them join the group and we look forward to working alongside their existing teams to develop the success of their settings further.”
Jenna Caldwell, Head of Childcare at Redwoods Dowling Kerr said:
“It was a pleasure to work alongside the owners with the sale of their impressive nursery group. This was a highly confidential sale, so the vendors chose to use our Corporate Sales Process to ensure that they received the very best price and that confidentiality was retained throughout.
“This was a complex transaction, but all parties worked hard together to reach a successful conclusion.”
