Briercliffe Lodge was established by our vendors, Rebecca and Gillian, over 3 decades ago in 1988.
Since that time, Briercliffe Lodge has consolidated an exceptional reputation, earning a substantial amount of its client base through regular referrals and recommendations, benefitting greatly from the expert ownership and direction of the vendors.
This substantial stone property has undergone considerable and extensive renovation and regeneration projects over the years, and the home has enjoyed historically high occupancy levels, always operating at or approaching capacity.
The complement of experienced and highly qualified staff in place at the setting is a key factor in the good reputation of this fantastic home, earning a ‘Good’ rating from the Care Quality Inspectorate in their most recent inspection in January 2019.
Rebecca and Gillian ultimately decided it was time to enjoy their retirement and felt they had achieved everything they had set out to, entrusting Redwoods Dowling Kerr with handling the sale of their business.
Once introduced to the market, the business generated a substantial amount of interest and after 14 viewings and 2 offers, a sale was agreed to a first-time buyer.
With a background in the NHS, the successful buyer was greatly impressed by the longstanding reputation of the business, and expressed their commitment to running the care home to the same high standards set by Rebecca and Gillian over the years.
