Redwoods Dowling Kerr Have Sold Pebbles Kindergarten

Child painting at Kindergarten

At the conclusion of a successful deal process, Pebbles Kindergarten has been sold. The journey originally started when Carol and Tim Thornton-Jones had a dream to acquire a childcare setting in the local area. Being experienced in the sector, they saw the need for a high quality of childcare, and they knew how to facilitate this. They ultimately decided to chase their dream.

They did so by purchasing a detached 3 storey residential property, of charming and antiquated design. Gradually and considerately modernised, the building was converted into a nursery, and it has always provided comfortable accommodation for their children. Just a short walk from the promenade, the unique location of this business greatly adds to its strong appeal to its clients.

Having always been operated by experienced management, and a dedicated team of staff, the high quality of childcare provided by the nursery is evident in its “Good” report from Ofsted upon its most recent inspection. The nursery provides care for over 50 children from 3 months to 11 years of age.

After long and illustrious careers at the top of the sector, Carol and Tim Thornton-Jones had decided it was time to retire and to enjoy their hard-earned retirement. However, they wished to find a purchaser who could continue to operate the nursery to a high standard, and to someone who shared a similar approach and expertise.

Carol and Tim Thornton-Jones’ years of hard work had left in place an outstanding business opportunity to acquire, and Redwoods Dowling Kerr recognised this, and they were keen to place the setting onto the market. Once placed onto the market, the business was subsequently acquired by an eager first-time buyer who was searching for an ideal first business to acquire, and unsurprisingly, the location was the main selling factor. The purchaser is now very excited to own their first business. They are grateful to the team at RDK for enabling them to acquire a perfect first business, and they intend to continue its track record of success, delivering comprehensive childcare to this unique coastal town.

The buyer commented;

“Thank you, Natasha, for your assistance in getting this over the line.”

Lead Negotiator Natasha Satterthwaite commented;

“Pebbles is a highly successful business which is demonstrated from receiving an offer after the first viewing. I’m sure Mrs Sangha and her family will do a fantastic job building on Carol’s success. Best of luck to all parties involved.”
