The CEO of leading business broker Altius Group Limited, Paul Miller, has been using his love of football to support local charities.
For the whole of the 2023/24 football season, Altius Group’s CEO will donate £100 per goal scored by Newcastle United in each of their Premier League, European matches, Carabao Cup and FA Cup matches to local charities.
The money raised until the end of the season will be evenly shared between donations to two charities, the Newcastle Foodbank and Brian House Children’s Hospice in Blackpool.
Paul was born and raised in Newcastle and is a lifelong fan of Newcastle United, travelling to all home and away matches from his home in Lancashire.
He recently returned from USA where he followed the club across the country. He said:
“I really enjoyed the pre-season tour and was lucky enough to attend matches in New York, Atlanta and Philadelphia. I’m now eager for the new season to begin and really looking forward to travelling to Europe to follow the team in the Champions League this season.
“As CEO of a successful business, my philosophy is to give back to my local communities. Colleagues at Altius Group regularly raise funds to support charities and I wanted to make a personal contribution. Combining my love of Newcastle United with support for a Newcastle charity alongside support for a Lancashire charity where my business is based, felt like the right thing to do.”

“Our charity’s aim is to enable people to tackle the causes of poverty which blight their lives, and to help them to move beyond the need to use a food bank.
“Having the support of Newcastle United supporters, up and down the country and across the world, contributes greatly to us being able to fulfil our aim each day. Having the support of Paul and Altius is another example of the incredible support we receive from Newcastle United supporters, and we are very grateful and humbled by the generosity shown to the work we do in the city of Newcastle.”
