REDWOODS DOWLING KERR assist KIDS PLANET DAY NURSERIES in the acquisition of their 43rd Childcare Setting.

Kids Planet Day Nurseries Limited have successfully acquired Noah’s Ark Day Nursery in Great Boughton, Chester. The acquisition of the nursery and out of school club brings the providers total settings across the North West and Midlands to 43 nurseries, with a combined capacity in excess of 5,500 children.

Originally established by our client’s mother in 1998, Marc and Sally Owen purchased the business in 2008. They have cultivated an exceptional reputation throughout the community over the years earning a rating of “Good” after the most recent Ofsted inspection. The Nursery provides renowned levels of care for 100 children aged from birth to 5 years of age, with the after-school club applying these rigorous standards of care to a further 42 children up to the age of 11.

Commenting on the acquisition, CEO of Kids Planet, Clare Roberts said: “We’re extremely excited to bring Noah’s Ark Day Nursery into the group. We’re very much looking forward to working with their teams and providing them with the support they need to continue delivering the best possible care for children and parents in this area”.

The purchase of Noah’s Ark Day Nursery was aided by Tom Shorten of Pinsent Masons acting on behalf of Kids Planet, with Director of Childcare & Education, Jenna Caldwell and Senior Sales Negotiator, Sarah Ellison of Redwoods Dowling Kerr assisting in the completion of the sale.

Kids Planet was established in 2008 by Clare Roberts and her farther John Hoban. The business has since grown, developing over the last 11 years to become a leading early years provider, with their calibre being clearly demonstrated by achieving an Ofsted rating of “Outstanding” at over 20 of their settings. The group was financially backed by BGF for the purchase of Noah’s Ark Day Nursery.

Jenna Caldwell, Director of Childcare & Education at Redwoods Dowling Kerr gave an insight into the sale saying:

It is fantastic to have completed on yet another successful North West completion. After being in talks with Marc and Sally over the last few years we knew that this was the right time to assist them with the sale and due to our wealth of knowledge and relationships with all buyers in the marketplace, this sale was agreed within 14 days of the information being released. We thank Marc and Sally for trusting our advice and it was a pleasure to again assist the team at Kids Planet.
